 
It
was an evening in mid-1981 that we gathered to practice and record some
hymns for our school anniversary. We had a good laugh listening to the
tape after that. Our voices were rather Groovy and Bombastic.
That's how the GBs got its
name. Not only are we involved in hymns singing but also other activities
such as spring cleaning, chanting for the deceased, performing dana, participating
in sport events. Today, the GBs stands for Good Buddhists and its activities
cover whatever comes its way.
Activities of the GBs
Besides hymns singing, GBs
also goes for welfare services and social activities such as helping the
needy, sports and fellowship. Today, GBs moves a step further into the
Dhamma propagation programme such as the planning and production
of audio-visual tapes, develop new Buddhist (English & Pali) hymns,
Sharing through Homepage, other stage performance.
Our Objectives
1. To promote Buddhist Social Activities through
the singing of Buddhist Hymns.
2. To encourage composing of new Buddhist Hymns.
