9 Samanavaggo- Recluses


1. Bhikkhusuttam- On a bhikkhu.

85. Bhikkhus, with the destruction of seven things, there is a bhikkhu. What seven?

2. Samanasuttam- A recluse.

86. Bhikkhus, with the quieting of seven things, there is a recluse. What seven?

3.Brąhmanasuttam- A Brahmin.

87. Bhikkhus, with the turning out of seven things, there is a Brahmin. What seven?

4. Sottiyasuttam- Mental health.

8. Arahąsuttam- Far from.

9. Asaddhammasuttam- Unrighteous.

93. "Bhikkhus, these seven are unrighteous. What seven?

Lack of, faith, shame, remorse, learning, mindfulness and wisdom and also becoming lazy.

Bhikkhus, these seven are unrighteous".

10. Saddhammasuttam- Righteous.

94. "Bhikkhus, these seven are righteous. What seven?

Having faith, shame, remorse, learning, aroused effort mindfulness and wisdom

Bhikkhus, these seven are righteous".
